Charlie's Cabana is a dog daycare business located in Wildwood, just outside The Villages. We have recently changed ownership so our website is under construction! We are still providing the best daycare service possible for your pup.
About Us
We provide safe and comfortable daycare for dogs. The facility is open 6 days a week. Drop off and pickup are available from 7:30am-6pm. If you need accommodation outside of this window please call us.
We are excited to have a 10k sq ft artificial turf outdoor space to maximize your pets fun time while they stay with us. Our turf has antimicrobial infill, which prevents the growth of bacteria - so we can keep everyone safe and healthy!

The Details:

Pickup & drop off is between 7:30am-6pm, everyday

Dogs are temperament tested on their first day

Dogs are split up into play groups with other dogs of similar size and spirit

We follow your feeding schedule & instructions but ask that you bring your pets food pre-portioned

Dogs must be up to date on Rabies, DA2PP, & Bordetella. Canine influenza is not required but is strongly recommended.

Pet Daycare FAQ
What are the vaccination requirements?
Dogs must have Rabies, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccines up to date before check in. Canine Influenza is not required but is strongly recommended. As a best practice, shots should be received 2 weeks prior to check in.
How are you keeping my pet(s) safe?
While the mystery illness for dogs has many unknowns including how to 100% prevent it, here are some steps we are taking to minimize exposure. We ask every pet parent to sign off that their pet has shown no signs of sickness within the last 48 hours. We will conduct a nonveterinary visual wellness check and vaccination confirmation in the lobby. In the facility we have increased our use of heavy duty commercial 3 stage HEPA air scrubbers, increased our cleaning and disinfectant schedule cycle and have our staff reviewing a enhanced wellness checklist that is updated with any symptoms that are being published by the veterinary community. Every dog kennel has raised deck flooring ensuring a clean, yet pleasant surface for your pet to walk and lay down on. These also allow better air circulation.
When are you open?
We are open and caring for pets Monday-Saturday. The facility has staff members on site at all times. Drop off and pickup is available between 7:30am-6pm daily. If you need accommodation outside of this time period please call us.
Are animals required to be spayed / neutered?
Yes, all pets staying in the facility must be altered unless they are under 12 months of age.
Can multiple dogs stay in the same suite?
Yes, if dogs currently live together they can share a suite.
Can I bring my pets food?
Yes, we prefer to keep your pet eating the same food on the same schedule while they are with us. Please bring their food pre-portioned for each meal in ziplock bags with instructions. If no food is provided at check in, they will receive generic food.
Can I bring my pets bed and toys?
Yes, please bring your pets bed, blanket, and a maximum of 2 toys so they feel as comfortable as possible!
Will you give my pet their medication?
Yes - but medication must be brought to us in the original packaging with clear instructions on how to administer it to your pet. If you ask us to administer medication to your pet and they will not eat it while they stay with us - you will be notified immediately.
Do you accept aggressive pets in the facility?
Due to the close proximity of the dog suites, we are unable to accept pets with a history of people or dog aggression. Temperament tests will be performed immediately following check in on all animals to ensure the safety of all pets in the facility. We are able to accept aggressive pets for Drop In Pet Sitting Services - call us to discuss.
